Is there a way to edit a management IP address for an existing node? Or is delete and re-adding a device the preferred method.
We prefer not to lose node history if possible.
If you want to edit the IP address of the device in LiveNX, you have to delete and re-add the device.
If you are worried about historical data, there is a setting in the LiveNX Server Management Console properties tab to hide or not hide historical devices for reporting purposes.
Steps on how to disable hide historical devices:
On the LiveNX Server Management Console
- Go to Properties tab
- find the properties name “hide.historical.devices”
- Change “hide.historical.devices” value to “false
- Click Apply
- In the dropdown menu, Go to Manage> Shutdown Service
- In the dropdown menu, Go to Manage> Start Service
