I have a situation where I’m trying to monitor flows from an internal interface HSRP router pair. Both routers are configured for the source interface for netflow to be the loopback yet I only see the flows on the “A” router. This router also shows the “B” router flows but as coming from “other” interface in thew visualizer. In the flows table this shows as interface “8”. How can I rectify this to show both sets of flows correctly.
LiveAction typically recommends enabling Flows on the fewest interfaces possible that provides the desired traffic views. For WAN routers, this typically means you only need to enable Flow ingress/egress on the WAN interfaces. There are exceptions to this recommendation of course. In the scenario described, you may want to enable Flow on both the LAN and WAN interfaces. Long term, you may likely find that this configuration is redundant and you only really need the WAN side data.
